Pi at Western Michigan Christian

Math classes celebrate 3.14 with projects and desserts

Miss Koetsier’s class brought in desserts and read “Sir Cumference and the Dragon of Pi”.

Mrs. Markel’s middle school math project:

To celebrate National Pi Day (3-14), you may choose from a variety of activities to complete for a 25 point project. These will be due on Thursday, March 14th.  Every activity centers around pi.  You may choose from the following or if you have another idea for a project, you will need to get approval from me first.

  • Pi dessert – Must have π on it.  Must be round, have a pi question (and answer) with it and be homemade.  For full credit, this question must be written out and turned in at the beginning of class.
  • Pi poster – with history of pi, pictures and formulas, etc.
  • Pi chain – At least 50 digits.
  • Pi necklace – At least 50 digits

Up to 15 points Extra Credit:  A second different Pi Day project or a new Pi Day t-shirt.
