Annual Fund

Western Michigan Christian is a nonprofit, Christian high school serving grades 9-12. We depend entirely on tuition and fund raising campaigns to support our work.

You should know that tuition does not cover the actual cost of educating our students. We strive to keep tuition at an amount that all families can afford, while ensuring that a quality, Christ-centered education is available to families from a wide economic cross-section. As a result of this approach, there is a gap between cost and revenues from tuition. This gap must be covered by other resources such as contributions and fund-raising activities.

Christian schools like ours rely on annual fund drives each year. Some schools call it the Annual Sustaining Fund. Others call it the Loyalty Fund. At Western Michigan Christian, it is simply The Annual Fund.

The Annual Fund is a yearly source of supplemental revenue which is used to address needs that tuition cannot provide.

The Annual Fund helps support our low student-to-teacher ratio, and allows us to confidently meet our goals of attracting and retaining the highest caliber faculty and giving our students the supportive yet rigorous Christian education our families expect.

Revenue for The Annual Fund consists primarily of six major fund raising events held throughout the school year. If you consider yourself to be part of the Western Michigan Christian School family - parents, faculty, past parents, grandparents, businesses and other friends - we ask you to contribute to The Annual Fund in a manner that reflects your means and your passion for our mission.

Fund-Raising Events

1. Business and Industry
2. Grandparent Drive - to underwrite Spiritual Emphasis Week.
3. The Wish List
4. Auction
5. Major Donors
6. The One Day Campaign

Each year, hundreds of alumni, parents, grandparents and friends join together and make gifts that have a profound impact on WMCHS.

At the present time your plenty will supply what they need, so that in turn their plenty will supply what you need, then there will be equality.
