ACCIDENTSBe careful around other students. No pushing shoving, running or playing games. If any student is injured, assist the student and report it to the office. Be very careful in helping other students in bleeding situations. Classrooms have a first aid kit with gloves and simple dressings. Optional accident insurance may be purchased at the beginning of the school year to cover students during the school day or the entire day.
ASSEMBLIESEach year we try to schedule several assemblies which are of special interest to students, plus several all-school meetings such as pep rallies and elections. It is the student's responsibility to attend, and to be polite and courteous to each other and to our guests. As an audience you should be attentive, respectful, quiet, and courteous. Books, lunches, notes, and snacks should not be brought into chapel or assemblies. All students will be encouraged to develop and practice Christian conduct during assemblies.
ATHLETICSAthletics, both intra-mural and inter-scholastic, are an important part of the school’s total program. We offer a wide range of opportunities and encourage students to participate. There is nothing quite like high school athletics. There are many opportunities to try new sports, develop new friendships, and surprise yourself with what you can do. We hope to also have a number of opportunities for students with intramurals during Activity Period. Boys Soccer, Boys Tennis, Girls Volleyball Winter Boys and Girls Basketball Spring Baseball, Softball, Girls Tennis, Boys and Girls Track, Golf ATHLETIC ELIGIBILITYEligibility for inter-scholastic sports is determined by the Michigan High School Athletic Association and WMCHS. Students must meet all eligibility requirements in order to compete. Failure to abide by the athletic code, school rules, or academic standards can result in probation or suspension from participation. A separate athletic handbook containing procedures and state regulations is given to all athletes.
