WMC SPORTS UPDATE TRACK TEAMS COMPETE IN HOUSEWARD INVITATIONAL

The Warrior track teams competed in the Houseward Invitational Saturday at Hudsonville Unity Christian. Sixteen teams from Michigan, Indiana and Illinois competed.

Lee Veurink and Jason Jackson finished 7th and 8th in the 400m with times of  57.4 and a 57.5 respectively.

The men's 3200m Relay (Will Groenendyk, Jackson, Ian Forbes, and Veurink) also finished in 7th place with a time of 9:21.3.

"We chose Brian Brook (1600m) and Brian Normandin (3200m) as the meet performers since that both had big personal records in spite of a cold and really windy day," coach Josh Scholma said.
