Dear Parents,
Attached is the flyer for our Spring Musical "Carousel" on March 9 & 10. Tickets will be on sale in the office soon or at the Orchard View Community Performing Arts Center the day of the performances. Watch for more details in the upcoming Announcements!
On March 6-8, our Junior class will be taking the Michigan Merit Exams along with other Juniors statewide. Please make sure your student is well-rested and well-fed on those days! High scores are a must ;) All students must be in the Big Room by 7:45AM each day with sharpened #2 pencils and their calculators!!! If any parents would like to supply snacks for our hungry scholars at 9:45AM each morning, they would be eternally grateful! You could use this for service hours...so take one day or all three. Do it with just you or a group of you! Let the office know if you would like to help in this area :)

On Monday, May 14 at 6:30PM in the Library, Dena Chilson has added a special informational meeting for all present Junior parents telling them about what they can expect during their student's Senior year coming up. This night has proven to be very helpful in the past, so please make every effort to attend this event right before our WMCHS Annual Society Meeting scheduled for 7PM in the Big Room. Need more information, please contact Dena Chilson.
Advanced Notice: Senior Award Ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 31 during our final Chapel of the 2012-2013 school year! These last two dates are recently new to our calendar, so please make note and mark yours accordingly!

Thanks to all the staff who loaned us a precious picture. We raised $38.00 toward the health kits for Haiti and Zimbabwe. Results: 1st Place Mrs. Wood. 2nd Place tie between Mr. Kempster & Mr. Goorman. We are still accepting health products all this week, like deodorant, toothpaste, shampoo, band-aids, and more. (The complete list is on the blue donation box in the lobby!) Please help us make our goal!
In a perfect world, everyone will have taken all of Algebra 2 before the ACT. Juniors in Algebra 2 this year, there are several concepts that you will see on the ACT before we get to them next tri. If you would like a quick crash course during a few lunches in the next two weeks, tell Mr. Falk today and he'll set something up. (Those who want to review trig, logarithms, and such are also welcome to join.)
Juniors: you will be taking the ACT here at school on Tuesday, March 6 as part of the Michigan Merit Exam (MME). Get ready for the test by attending one or both of the ACT Prep workshops that will be provided here at school on Saturday, February 25 and Saturday, March 3 from 8:30am – 12:00noon. Cost is $15 per session. Space is limited so sign up today in the office.
Spring sport athletes are invited to come to conditioning on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school.
Calling all Students and Staff Shutterbugs-The Theme for the Spring Photography Show is Shape: the Shape that was selected by the Arts Council was a Triangle. So start looking for the obvious and the not so obvious! Winter is a great season for this challenge! Wherever you have the opportunity to travel in God's amazing world look for triangles and then take photos of them! Everyone at WMC is invited to participate.
