FRENCH TRIP MEETING BEGIN IN FEBRUARY
Bonjour! Wow, what a great group; our numbers have swelled to an outstanding 22 travelers! I'm so exciting to be taking such a big group of amazing kids and their families from two fantastic schools; this will be a wonderful experience and I'm so glad you're all coming! The dance fundraiser at MCC went very well; we raised over $500 to help students pay for our trip! Thanks to all of you who supported the teams and helped us out! Travelers will begin monthly meetings starting this month to address various preparation subjects and any remaining group fundraising activities. At this month's meeting, Del Vollink will show us all how to crochet those amazing "plarn" bags many of you have been working so hard to create 'yarn' for. We will also schedule our bake sales at this time. The schedule looks like this: 28 February - Fundraisers, Travel Safety Tips 27 March - Surviving to Thriving: French Culture 24 April - Packing 29 May - Wrap-up If you are going on the trip, your attendance is mandatory at all meetings. It is incredibly important that we spend some time together before we are on a plane/bus together for 16 days; these meetings are a part of that process. Thanks everyone for your enthusiasm, your interest, and your commitment to this trip! See you soon!
