Yesterday I ran an "ad" for more fun parents to join the parent committee to help make the Homecoming Dance in February the best it could be with decorations, refreshments, etc...I ran an incorrect phone number for the contact person, Chris South.  She can be reached at (231) 740-3706.  Please call her if you have any questions or are able to attend the first planning meeting on Friday, January 6 at 1pm.

Secondly, we wanted to give you an itinerary for Thursday as final preparations are made for the collage and shopping for Project Grace.

First of all, we will be having all six classes on Thursday morning...just rearranged :)  
Here is the schedule:

1st  9:48 - 10:18
2nd 10:22 - 10:52
6th  10:56 - 11:26

Regular school lunch 11:26 - 12:00

If your student IS NOT in band or choir, after lunch they will be participating in our Project Grace shopping & wrapping gifts with staff members who will be driving them around to the different stores and then back to school until 3PM.  This is a very fun afternoon and very gratifying for the students -- but NOT optional!  So please do not call school to say your student doesn't want to go shopping or wrap presents, and you are letting them go home.  We need each and every student to stay for the afternoon to pull this huge undertaking off.  Please enforce this concept with your teen and do not cave to pressure!!!

If your student IS in band or choir, they can eat regular school hot lunch, bring their own lunch, or stop for fast food on their way to the Frauenthal where rehearsal will start at promptly 12:15PM.  If your student does not drive and needs transportation to and from, please tell your student to let Mrs. Merz or Ms. Ober know of that need ASAP!  Practice will take place from 12:15 until 2:45pm.  Students may then leave for home or go back to school.  That evening all music students must be dressed in their proper attire and ready to perform at 7PM.  The collage starts at 7:30PM for all those attending!  If you are new to WMC and have never attended our collage, it is a MUST SEE!  Please read the announcement that was recently in the Home Bulletin and invite friends, neighbors, grandparents, etc...

Senior Class Officers meet in Miss Toman's room today at lunch for a meeting.

There will be no student council meeting this week.

Project Grace is still on!  Look for your class jars at lunch; we have till Wednesday to reach our goal!  Here are the totals per class:  Seniors $485.61, Juniors $260.50, Sophomores $203.06, Freshmen $329.00.

Will you be a junior or senior next year?  Do you think you might want to attend one of the Career Tech Center programs next year? If you are interested, sign up in the office to attend a presentation on Friday at 2:00. Presenters from the tech center will be here to describe the available programs and answer your questions.  Sign up no later than 9:00 Friday morning.

WMC presents their annual Christmas Collage on Thursday, Dec. 15 at the Frauenthal Center in downtown Muskegon.  Tickets are available in the office for general admission of $4.  Also Collage DVDs will be available for 17.50 thru Dec. 9th with delivery before Christmas break. All orders after Dec. 9th will be 20.00 and delivery would be after Christmas break.  Pick up an order form in the office.

Picture taking for winter sports teams will be today.  Please follow this schedule:  2:45 Freshman boys basketball, 2:55 girls freshman basketball, 3:10 boys JV basketball, 3:20 Boys varsity basketball, 3:30 girls jv basketball, 3:40 girls varsity basketball, 3:50 cheerleading. Teams should wear their dark jerseys.  Boys freshman basketball players should be excused at 2:35 and girls freshman basketball players should be excused at 2:45 for pictures today before their games at 4pm.

We will meet with all of our classes on Thursday for about 30 minutes each.  The class periods will be rearranged to move the music periods to the end of our class meeting times.  The schedule will be:
