Dress Code Violations, Pancakes, Pirates & Announcements 11/3/11

Dear Parents,
Pants are sagging and tops are way too revealing!  Please remind your student that they are in violation of the dress code when this happens, and we ask that you actually look at what they are wearing when they walk out the door.  Here is the quote from our Student Handbook:

-        Clothing must be neat.  Clothing with holes exposing skin above the knee will not be permitted.

-        Remember that waistlines of pants are intended to be worn at the waist.  Wear a belt if you can’t keep your pants up!

-        Modesty is vital!  Girls’ tops must show no cleavage and skirts/shorts must be no shorter than fingertip length when arms are relaxed at your side (even if you are wearing leggings underneath them).

-        Leggings are not to be worn alone and must be under shorts, skirts, dresses, or tops that pass the fingertip test!

It is the responsibility of both the parents and students to select outfits that follow these guidelines.  Please try harder at this…we’re "slipping!"

Join us at Spring Lake Christian Reformed Church, 364 S Lake Ave, this Saturday November 4 from 7-10 am for a delicious pancake breakfast!  Funds raised will support a mission team going to Nicaragua in January.  This team is working with Steve Holtrop and the Nehemiah Center and will help prepare a new Christian school for opening in February!  Members of the team include Evelyn Holtrop and Becki Sweetman (both staff at GHCS), Anna Sweetman and Tully Groenendyk (both students at WMC and graduates of GHCS), and others.  Thank you for your support!
