Dear Parents,
Just to let you know our internet has been down the entire day and is finally up and running as of 1:00PM! (WOW! I forget how much I use my computer for this job :) Our thanks to Great Harvest Bakery and Keith & Cindy Wisen, who inundated our staff with delectable baked goods today, which helped us pass a tremendous amount of time waiting for the internet to figure out what it was supposed to do! Life doesn't get much better than this...sipping some great coffee, indulging in a raspberry cream cheese scone, amongst some of my favorite people...God is good :) Tech center parents: We really encourage our tech center students to attend Spiritual Emphasis Work the day their class will be at the Cinema Carousel. If you wish your student to attend SEW, then please remember to call the Tech Center in the morning to excuse them for the day. They will attend their tech center class on Monday 10/31, as usual, even though WMC has the day off. If your student owns a cell phone or iPod, Dave Hulings would like them to bring it with them when their class goes to the Cinema on their designated day.
And this is the following plug and plea from our Athletic Department regarding tonight's game...Go Warriors! COME OUT IN FORCE AND SUPPORT OUR WARRIORS TONIGHT AT 7 AT REGIONAL SOCCER FINAL Our boys soccer team will be playing undefeated and No. 2 ranked Northern Michigan Christian Burt Lake Academy tonight at 7 p.m. at Holton High School. There are eight teams left in Division 4 and the winner will move on to the state semi-final to be played at either Holton or Cedar Springs Wednesday. Fan support is very important and appreciated. Listen to what soccer coach David Hulings has to say about it: "The one thing that is a constant has been the fan support we have had from game to game. When I first came to WMC that was one of the most pleasant surprises. We travel well and we are great ' encouragers' to the boys. We had a two hour delay Tuesday and there we were in full force. Tonight the small group from Burt Lake will be quite loud. But, nothing is a strong as the Warrior Nation. I can't wait to hear them behind us. That is a huge motivation for these boys. We feel privileged to play in front of them." Have a great weekend...we'll see your students Tuesday...remember to pray for our staff on Monday as they have the opportunity to have breakfast together, pray together, share their wisdom, and finish writing the final material for the student's days at the Cinema with Dave Hulings. Now where is that last scone...!?!?!?
