Conferences 10/18 and 10/19 & Tuesday's Announcements 10/4/11

Parents,
Time to call the office and sign up for conferences with your student's teachers on October 18 & 19! Here is the schedule and a little bit more of an explanation for those of you that are new:

Tuesday, October 18--4:30PM to 8:30PM -- Parent Teacher Conferences
(call the office to sign up for 15 minute increments w/ the teachers you want to meet individually with...one or all six!

NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS on WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 19!

Wednesday, October 19--8:00AM to 12noon--Staff Professional Development Day in the morning
then conferences after lunch from:

1:00PM t0 5:00PM--Parent Teacher Conferences
(once again call the office to schedule individual conferences with the teachers you would like to see!)

‘Family’ cast members rehearsal Thursday night from 7:00 to 9:00. ‘Non-family’ cast members meet next Monday.

Seniors stop in the office to check the spelling of your name for your diploma.

An admissions representative from Grace Bible College will be here today at lunch. Stop by and get information about studying at Grace Bible College.

What is the PSAT? The PSAT is a little bit more than two hours long. It consists of two twenty-five minute Verbal sections, two twenty-five minute Math sections, and one half-hour Writing Skills section.

The PSAT is also called the NMSQT, or the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. Scoring well on the PSAT can get you a National Merit Scholarship

More Information is available at http://www.nationalmerit.org/entering.php. All juniors will be taking the PSAT on Saturday, Oct. 15 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm here at school. The cost of the test is $15. Please stop in the office to sign up, pay the $15, and pick up a practice test booklet. There are 50 seats available so stop in soon to pay and sign up.

Congratulations to Alexys Riksen who designed the 2011 Mole Day Tshirt! Look for the mock-up and sign up sheet in the office on Wednesday.
