1/2 Day on Friday & Announcements 5/18/11

Parents,

We just wanted to let you know that when the 120 Music Tour students leave for Virginia Beach Thursday night, we will be left with 12o students on Friday that will be serving at different service projects in Muskegon.  Encourage your student to sign up for two different projects located on the sheets outside the office.  School starts at 8AM as usual, and your teen will be ready for pick-up (or to leave) at 12noon after we feed them pizza and ice cream sundaes :)  A morning full of fun options... but staying home is NOT one of them!  Please send your student to school on Friday morning!!!

Monday will be a full day of school from 8AM-3PM.

ANNOUNCEMENTS –Wednesday, May 18, 2011

“He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken.”  Psalm 62:6

This week we are flipping 5th and 6th hours.

The sign up sheets are up by the office for students to sign up for service projects on Friday.  Students who are not going on the Music Tour must sign up for two projects.

Photography Classes-5th & 6th hrs: Please meet in the Lab-Monday-Wednesday this week. Bring your downloading equipment!

Mandatory yearbook meeting today at lunch in Mr. Schut’s room.

If you helped with Grandparents' Chapel this past Friday - please see Mrs. Workman today.

There are lots of left-over treasures in Mrs. Workman's office from the LipDub.  Stop by and take yours home!

Remember that Student Council Nomination Forms for next year are due on Friday!!

Skits will be performed next Tuesday (24th) in chapel.

A meeting for all WMC students planning on playing football next fall with the North Muskegon coop will be held today during lunch time in Mr. Goorman's room(111). NM varsity football coach John Slocum will be on hand to go over the summer program and answer your questions. It will begin at 11:20.

All WMC athletes who had physicals last week are reminded to have the forms signed by a parent and returned to the school office or athletic office. The physical is no good if the signed form isn't turned in. Remember, all athletes need a physical before participating in tryouts or practice during the next school year.

Seniors--don't forget to bring in your $85 and permission slip for your Class Trip to Cedar Point by next Thursday, May 26.  The charter bus leaves 4:45AM on Friday morning, May 27, for this great day away as the Class of 2011.  Please bring your $85 and the slip to the office and give to Mrs. Wilkie or Mrs. Vanderlaan.  If you are having an Open House to celebrate your graduation, please come to the office to jot your date down on our calendar.  We will then publish a sheet for you to have announcing the times and dates when all the Open Houses will take place.  If you are a recipient of any college scholarships or awards, please stop in the office to add those to a list that we are compiling for the graduation program.  It is very important that you give these to us in a timely manner, since we have already started to work on the program and need your exciting information!
