Prayer Requests & Announcements 1/4/11

Dear Parents,
We have so many recent prayer requests that I felt the need to pass them on to you today and not have them wait until the Home Bulletin comes out next week...please be on your knees for these precious people and their families who are a part of our WMC school community!

  • We express our heartfelt Christian sympathy to Kati South’s (9th) family with the home-going of her maternal grandmother on Thursday, December 16. May God hold you close in the days ahead.
  • Jacob Wall (11th) had knee surgery on Monday, December 20.

Pray for continued healing and pain-free use of that knee.

  • We as a school community sadly say farewell to Glen Miller,

our band director, who left WMC to pursue a new career. We wish him and his wife God’s richest  blessings and thank him for this “season in his path” in the year and a half of service he gave to our school and our music program.  We’ve been blessed!

  • We as a school community warmly welcome Lydia Post as our new interim band director!  Lydia comes to us from Hope College and is eager to begin her time here at WMC with staff and students.  Let’s make her feel warmly welcomed and pray for her adjustment to the new adventure God has her on!
  • Once again Project Grace was a time of giving from our students

and staff for those in our community who needed the hand of Christ extended to them during the holiday season.  Almost $3850.00 was collected between the class competitions which enabled us to help

over ten families with clothing, food, and other gifts…pray a blessing

for those who received! Mr. Scholma’s class earned “delivery” rights!

  • A HUGE thank you to all of you who answered our Christmas Wish List requests with your generous monetary gifts that enabled us to purchase those unbudgeted “wants” & “needs” for our classrooms!  Bless you!
  • Please continue to keep Ellen VanOss (’94) in your prayers as she continues to battle cancer that  is now in her lymph nodes behind

her heart, in front of her spine, and along side of the right pulmonary artery.  Pray hard, prayer Warriors!

  • WMC community expresses their sympathy to Jeff (’02) and Manda Breuker in the death of their newborn daughter Lila Marie on January 3 in Ann Arbor.  May the God of all comfort bring you peace.
  • We also wish to express our Christian sympathy to Chuck Krueger (Technology & Bowling Coach) whose mother passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 90 on January 4 in Holland.
  • Justin (10th) and Edward (12th) Kollar’s paternal grandfather passed away on December 30th here in Muskegon.  We lift them up to our heavenly Father for His loving arms to hold their family close.
  • Please pray for Zach Couch's(12th) brother, Clay, who had emergency surgery yesterday.
  • We have many students out with colds/flu...please pray for healing for them.
