WMC Warrior

WMC has been without a "Warrior" for more than 13 years. Our goal is to simply replace the Indian Head  to give the students an image to identify with and use on apparel, and primarily in an athletic arena.  As we began looking at what could represent a “Warrior” we realized the challenge would be to not look too much like a Crusader, Knight, or Spartan.  We looked to the Bible and the passage in Ephesians which describes the Armor of God.

At the core of the WMC Warrior is the idea of the Biblical Warrior. The fact that we are at war spiritually everyday. That concept was not a part of the Indian Head or any other logo or symbol that has been used in the past. The word 'warrior' is found 94 times in the New International Version of the Bible. The warrior is a concept that works on several levels. We are perfect in Christ and draw our strength and power from Him. Warrior armor is Biblical and is taken from Ephesians 6:14-17.

The new Warrior shield has a W, an M, and a C on it as well as the word “Warriors”.  The location of the “C” in the middle is representative of keeping Christ in the center of all that we do.  The shield, as pictured below can be seen on the new WMC field runner flag and represents the new WMC Warrior.
