LADY WARRIORS STAY IN TITLE CHASE WITH VOLLEYBALL WIN OVER COVENANT

Host Western Michigan Christian girls volleyball team stayed in the River Valley Conference title chase  Thursday night by winning three of five matches from league-foe Covenant Christian by scores of 20-25,25-13,16-25,25-17,15-10.

 

The Warriors have one league loss to Tri-Unity Christian and continue to trail the Defenders by one game.

 

Stats:

Service Points-Aces:

Bonnie Heykoop had 3 aces and 12 service points.

Vanessa Eekhoff had 3 aces and 9 service points.

 

Kills-Attacks:

Rachel Bruinsma had 15 Kills on 43 Attempts.

Vanessa Eekhoff had 14 Kills on 33 Attempts.

Elyse Ray had 13 Kills on 37 Attempts.

 

Assists/Attempts:  Julie Merz had 35 assists on 101 attempts.

 

Blocks: Rachel Bruinsma had 5 Blocks.

Elyse Ray had 4 Blocks.

 

Digs:

Rachel Bruinsma had 14 Digs.

Bonnie Heykoop had 13 Digs.
