"After coming back from a holiday weekend, we had some low energy to start, but we picked it up as the game went on," A quote from WMC coach Brett Noordhoff said. "We ended up playing three solid games and it helped us prepare for Tri-Unity Thursday." WMC and Tri-Unity are expected to battle it out this season for the River Valley Conference title.

WMC junior varsity beat Muskegon 25-23 and 25-21.  "They were close games, but the girls persevered," coach Dana Engel said.

Our freshman girls suffered a disappointing loss to Muskegon.  They lost a close first set by a score of 23-25, and then couldn't really get the offense going on the second with a score of 17-25. "The long weekend seemed to take a bit of a toll on us, but we're looking forward to bouncing back for our match on Thursday," coach Lois Hallenbeck said.
