





| LADY WARRIORS LOSE LEAD AND GAME TO MUSKEGON HEIGHTS |

It was a tale of two halves Thursday night as the Western Michigan Christian Lady Warriors led by nine at half, but lost by nine, 53-44, to the host Muskegon Heights Tigers.
After leading 25-16 at intermission, the Warriors were outscored 22-4 in the pivotal third quarter.
WMC, now 2-2, led 12-10 at the first stop, 25-16 at intermission, but trailed 38-29 going into the final period.
Rachel Bruinsma led the way with 18 points and Vanessa Eekhoff added 9.
The Warriors were cold from the free-throw line as they were able to connect on just 8 of 21 attempts.
Donesha Garrett, a 5-10 junior, led the Tigers with 20 points of which 18 were scored in the second half. Quaneisha McBride added 18 points and Chanekqua Phillips 11.
The Warriors begin league play Tuesday when they travel to Covenant Christian for a River Valley Contest.
