Several public events are planned for "Warrior Weekend."

Friday:

• Our varsity volleyball team will battle with Pentwater and Grand Rapids Prep in our gym beginning at 6 p.m. Friday.
• WMC will battle Pentwater at 6 p.m. in the best of three foremat.
• The second game will feature Pentwater and Grand River Prep.
• The final contest will be our Warriors against Grand River Prep.

Saturday

• On Saturday, our boys junior varsity soccer team will host Mona Shores at 12-noon followed by the varsity game at 2 p.m.
• The "Warrior Food Court" will be cookin'.
• Between games at about 1:30 p.m., the WMC band will be joined by alumni band members for a short program.
• At 4 p.m., an alumni men's soccer game will be held.
• "Sights & Sounds of WMC" will take center stage in the Big Room at the high school at 7 p.m. Saturday. This will feature the musical talents of many WMC students and art work will be on display.

WARRIOR FOOD COURT NEEDS YOU SATURDAY

• Anyone interested in helping at the Warrior Food Court this Saturday, Warrior Weekend, please call Jill Schuitema at 231-733-1430.
• "No experience is necessary to work the Food Court," Schuitema said, "and free on the job training is provided."

PURCHASE PUNCH CARDS TO SAVE DOLLARS AT THE GAMES

Punch cards for WMC athletic events are available at the school office and at athletic events. The cards contain 10 punches and sell for $25. One punch is good for one athletic event. If you do the math, that means you pay $2.50 per game instead of $4 at the gate.

A BIG WARRIOR THANK YOU TO THOM DAHMS

A big thank you to Thom Dahms for replacing the roof of the concession at Warrior Field. The roof had developed leaks recently and Dahms, whose children attended WMC, is in the procession of putting on a new roof. It might be ready by Saturday.

TODAY'S ATHLETIC EVENTS

• Our three girls volleyball teams are in action today at home. At 4:30 p.m., our freshmen host North Muskegon. At 5:30 p.m., our junior varsity girls entertain league-foe Hudsonville Freedom Christian at 5:30 p.m. followed by the varsity match at about 6:30 p.m.
• Cross country teams travel to Grand Rapids at 4:30 p.m. for the NorthPointe Christian Jamboree.
• Tennis team entertains Fruitport at 4 p.m.
• Junior varsity soccer hosts league-rival NorthPointe Christian at 5 p.m. followed by the varsity at 6:45 p.m.

THURSDAY

• Varsity boys soccer team travels cross town to Muskegon Catholic Central for a 4:30 battle.
• Junior varsity and varsity volleyball teams travel to Covenant Christian for games at 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
• Junior varsity football team travels to Mason County Central for 6:30 p.m. game.

NOTICE OF SCHEDULE CHANGE

The jv soccer game scheduled for 4:30 p.m. at Ravenna on Thursday is now at Ravenna at 4 p.m. on Friday.
