"Top-to-bottom all five kids played well," said Warriors' coach Jake Wolffis, who also had Chris Wisen shoot an 85. "We have a very good team."

LADY WARRIORS DROP 3-0 DECISION TO GR CHRISTIAN
Host Grand Rapids Christian scored two goals in the first half and a third in the closing minute Thursday to defeat Western Michigan Christian in their last regular season game 3-0.
GR Christian is yet another Division 2 team the Warriors have battled this year who have held a top 10 ranking during the season. Despite the loss, WMC played very strong defensively, allowing only 13 shots on goal down from the 33 shots allowed just one year ago.
WMC stepped up its defensive effort even more in the second half, and generated much more possession and play into the final third as well, but could not find the net. The Warriors end their season with a 8-9-1 record, and 7-2-1 in conference. They will play their first district game at home Tuesday, June 1 at 6 p.m.against conference foe Covenant Christian.
WMC goalkeepers Lauren Merz and Courtne Stuk shared equal time in goal and both played very well, according to coach Dan McAllister.
"We play a very difficult out of conference schedule, and despite taking more losses than we would like, we learn so much when we play against teams that play much faster, are more technical and provide more pressure than we typically see in Division 4. I believe the girls are really showing tremendous progress right now in some critical areas we have been working to improve in, and I like what I have been seeing," McAllister said.
"Starting tomorrow, we are 0-0-0 in the 'new season' of tournament play. It starts all over again and we get to see what we have learned from the past 18 games and how that might help us from here on out. We are much more of a blue collar team this year, and I think the ladies have fully embraced what that means and how we will need to play to maximize our chances in post-season play. Like always though, knowing it and executing it are not the same things. As long as we stay focused on the details of the game, I believe in what this team can accomplish."
THREE WMC RELAY TEAMS COMPETE IN ALL-STAR MEET We had three relay teams qualify for Thursday's West Michigan All Star Meet held at Grand Haven - the guys and girls 3200m Relay and the guys 800m relay. There are 28 schools invited from Grand Haven to Ludington to Kent City and only the top 10-15 times qualifiy so it is a big deal just to make it to the meet. The girls 3200m Relay (Elyse Ray, Megan Bauer, Janneke DeKam, Bethany Schuitema) finished with a time of 11:22.5 and took 33 seconds of their previous best time to come within 2.5 seconds of the school record set in 1985 (11:20.0). The guys 3200m Relay (Will Groenendyk, David Katje, Jason Jackson, Lee Veurink) finished with a time of 8:58.6 and took 12 seconds off their previous best time. Both of these relays posted the best times for WMC in the last decade or more (the girls most likely the best time since the school record) The guys 800m Relay (David Carter, Justin Kollar, Jacob Henderson, Jason Jackson) finished with a 1:41.4 - their 3rd best time of the season.
