SPECIFIC SCHOLARSHIPS: WOMEN'S DIVISION CHAMBER of COMMERCE www.womensdivision.org Complete and submit the application (download here) postmarked no later than March 15. BUICK ACHIEVERS SCHOLARSHIP Seniors who plan to attend a four-year college or university and major in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or Design are encouraged to apply for 1100 renewable scholarships up to $25,000. Applications can be downloaded at www.buickachievers.com and must be submitted by March 31. THE FRAUENTAL SCHOLARSHIP High school seniors or eligible Community College sophomores are eligible for this scholarship. Please see Mrs. Chilson for applications which are due March 31. MUSKEGON COMMUNITY COLLEGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES This scholarship is available to outstanding high school seniors who have achieved a GPA of 3.35 or better. Applications are available at www.muskegoncc.edu/scholarships and are due by March 1. GVSU MARY JANE DOCKERAY SCHOLARSHIP is available to graduating seniors who plan to pursue a career in science. Applications can be downloaded at www.gvsu.edu/rmsc and are due by March 7. GERBER FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP Any high school senior, graduating from a Newaygo or Muskegon County high school with a GPA of 3.70 or below, is eligible to apply online for this $2000 scholarship at www.gerberfoundation.org , due February 28. BEST BUY $1.2 MILLION IN SCHOLARSHIPS FOR STUDENTS IN GRADES 9-12 All students in grades 9-12 who have solid grades, plus community service and work experience, are eligible to apply for 1,200 $1000 scholarships offered by Best Buy. Apply online at www.at15.com now until February 16. MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP The MSU Alumni Club of the Muskegon Area is awarding scholarships to deserving high school seniors who plan to attend MSU in the fall of 2011. Please see Mrs. Chilson for an application, which must be submitted by Feb. 25. MICHIGAN SOCIETY OF PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERS SCHOLARSHIP Seniors interested in pursuing a career in engineering and who live in Ottawa, Muskegon, or Oceana County are encouraged to apply for the MSPE $1000-$3000 scholarships. Applications are due by February 21. Ottawa County Bar Association Elise Joy Frantz Scholarship Award $1500 to recognize an outstanding high school senior who has shown respect for the law a special interest in our constitution and government and who plans to develop those interests through further education at a college or university. application deadline April 16 ROSA PARKS SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION $2000.00 scholarships are available to Michigan high school seniors who are dedicated to the civil rights principles of Rosa L. Parks. Applications are available online at rosaparksscholarshipfoundation.org and are due by March 1. FARM BUREAU ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS are for a member, the child of a member, or a child under the guardianship of a Muskegon County Farm Bureau member. Deadline is March 1. GRAND HAVEN AREA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS The GHACF’s scholarship applications are now available on the Foundation’s website: www.ghacf.org Instructions for completing the online application are on the scholarship page, or are available from the office or Mrs. Chilson. There are over 70 scholarship funds, so high school seniors should begin the application process now. Deadline for all applications is 5PM on March 4.
