What I love about being a part of Christian education is the opportunity not only to support students academically, but also to nurture them emotionally and mentor them spiritually. I love that I can build Christ-centered relationships with my students and be a part of their lives as they move through their high school years.
As an English teacher, it is important to me that students realize that all literature, whether planned or unplanned by the author, reflects the glory of God. In Language Arts, it is important to not only read thoughtful text, but also to challenge students to read with a “gospel perspective” and to find “His-story” in whatever text is being read.
