Teaching science and math at Western Michigan Christian High School has been a real blessing for me; I very much enjoy the classes that I’m teaching and the community at WMC. I think we have something really special here and I believe I would have thrived in a high school environment like ours. The world we live in and how it functions shows us the beauty, love, and logical nature of God who created it all. In addition to learning to think logically and mastering concepts, skills that help us function and serve God well in society, I hope my students can see God both through me and what we study. Some Christians today feel threatened by current scientific theories and advances. I believe that Faith and Science go hand in hand and that, when you really understand both, you won’t find a conflict between the two. I pray that my students who are struggling with their faith will find, like I did, that Francis Bacon had it right in 1612 when he said: “A little science estranges a man from God, a lot of science brings him back.” College: Responsibilities:
