“Western Michigan Christian High School’s mission is to educate with excellence, integrate faith with knowledge, equip students to work and serve Christ in their communities.”
MESSAGE FROM WMC BOARD PRESIDENT: KIM STUK
For us, it was important that we raise our children surrounded by God-fearing individuals for as long as we were able. At each of their baptisms we made a covenant with God to bring our children to know Him and His love for them. The Bible commands this. As any parent knows who’s had a child move away to college (my first just this past September) they are only with us for a short time. And while there are days it doesn’t seem like it, that time flies! Our experiences at Grand Haven Christian and WMCHS have been a true blessing. These schools not only provide the spiritual instruction we desire but so many other benefits as well. For one, class sizes tend to be smaller and as a result, each school becomes a place “where everybody knows your name.” A place where each child is known, understood, loved; a place where each child is seen as a gift from God and worthy of that school’s best. Such has been our experience and we are forever grateful. In an ever competitive world it is also important that our children excel academically. As a member of the WMCHS Board for the last three years I am acutely aware of our commitment to provide challenging and competitive curriculum that affords them opportunities for continued success upon graduation. At WMCHS we are all a part of a family that is larger than our own: the family of God. A family that each member of the staff, administration and school board believes in enough to give tirelessly of their time, energy and talents. Each child matters to us. Your child matters to us. My time serving on WMCHS board has been a true blessing. I have had the privilege to serve alongside others who have a heart for God, and for the preservation of Christian Education along the Lakeshore. At the end of the day, it is yet another affirmation for why we’ve chosen Christian Education for our family. In His Service, |
